 This qualification reflects the role of individuals who perform a limited range of tasks relating to identifying and inspecting mechanical and electrical components and systems of light vehicles, heavy vehicles, outdoor power equipment, bicycles, marine craft and motorcycles.

This qualification also covers the skills and knowledge required to perform minor maintenance and repair of an automotive vehicle body. The range of technical skills and knowledge is limited

This qualification reflects the role of individuals in a variety of junior administrative positions who perform a range of mainly routine tasks using limited practical skills and fundamental operational knowledge in a defined context. Individuals in these roles generally work under direct supervision.

This qualification reflects the varied roles of individuals across different industry sectors who apply a broad range of competencies using some discretion, judgment and relevant theoretical knowledge. They may provide technical advice and support to a team.

 

CUA20215 – Certificate II in Creative Industries

This qualification is delivered over two years under the auspices of Australian YMCA Institute of Education and Training   RTO 3979 North Metropolitan TAFE. RTO 52786

This qualification reflects the role of individuals with the skills and knowledge to perform in a range of varied activities in the creative industries where there is a clearly defined range of contexts. Activities are of limited complexity with required actions clearly defined.

 

Certificate II in Sport and Recreation

This qualification is delivered over two years under the auspices of Australian YMCA Institute of Education and Training   RTO 3979

This qualification allows individuals to develop basic functional knowledge and skills for work in customer contact positions in the sport or community recreation industry. These individuals are competent in a range of administrative activities and functions within a team and under supervision. They are involved in mainly routine and repetitive tasks using practical skills and basic sport and recreation industry knowledge.

Students work in locations such as sport and recreation centres or facilities, and leisure and aquatic centres assisting with the conduct of recreation activities, and facility maintenance and operations.

  • retail assistant
  • grounds assistant
  • facility assistant.

 

SIT20416 – Certificate II in Kitchen Operations

This qualification is delivered over two years under the auspices of Hospitality Group Training RTO 0386

This qualification reflects the role of individuals working in kitchens who use a defined and limited range of food preparation and cookery skills to prepare food and menu items. They are involved in mainly routine and repetitive tasks and work under direct supervision. This qualification does not provide the skills required by commercial cooks, which are covered in SIT30816 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.

This qualification provides a pathway to work in kitchen operations in organisations such as restaurants, hotels, catering operations, clubs, pubs, cafés, and coffee shops; and institutions such as aged care facilities, hospitals, prisons, and schools.

  • takeaway cook.

 

ICT20115 – Certificate II in Information, Digital Media and Technology

This qualification is delivered over two years under the auspices of Australian YMCA Institute of Education and Training   RTO 3979

This entry level qualification provides the foundation skills and knowledge to use information and communications technology (ICT) in any industry.

 

SIT20116 – Certificate II in Tourism

This qualification is delivered over two years under the auspices of Hospitality Group Training RTO 0386

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who have a defined and limited range of tourism operational skills and basic industry knowledge. They are involved in mainly routine and repetitive tasks and work under direct supervision.

This qualification provides a pathway to work in many tourism and travel industry sectors and for a diverse range of employers including travel agencies, tour wholesalers, tour operators, attractions, cultural and heritage sites, and any small tourism business.

Work could be undertaken in an office environment where the planning of tourism and travel products and services takes place, in the field where products are delivered, or a combination of both.

  • receptionist and office assistant for a professional conference organiser or event management business
