Japanese Tour Program

Cultural exchanges with groups from overseas are undertaken to increase students' awareness and develop language and communication skills.  They are a rewarding experience for all concerned and give the opportunity to develop life-long friendships with people from another culture.

In 2010 Governor Stirling students hosted students from Seinan Gakuin High School in Fukuoka, Japan for the ninth time.

The Japanese students were here from August 3 - 11, staying with host families from the Governor Stirling community while attending special lessons at school as well as going on excursion to local tourist attractions.

In previous years Governor Stirling students also received the opportunity to travel to Japan.

While the school is being rebuilt in 2011 and 2012 there will be no Japanesse exchanges.  The program will however return from 2013.
