Governor Stirling Senior High School is introducing a non-compulsory Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program for all students from January 2021. Students will be able to bring a device that meets the school’s standards to use in class under teacher direction.
We live in a world where technology is ever-present and the introduction of the BYOD program will allow a more flexible and interactive teaching and learning environment. Whilst students currently have some access to laptops at school, the BYOD program will allow more students to access technology at the one time. Students will also be able to use the same device at school and at home. This will allow more continuity and consistency between work done at school and work done at home.
Please be reassured that this program is non-compulsory and laptops will be available for students who are unable to purchase a suitable device.
We have partnered with JB HiFi and Hewlett Packard (HP) Incorporated to help you decide on the right device for your child
