Gifted and Talented Secondary Selective Entrance Program

For entry into all Gifted and Talented Secondary Selective Entrance programs, your child will need to sit the Academic Selective Entrance Test (ASET) the year before they enter the program. Testing typically happens in March each year. Testing and application is done directly through the Department of Education. Guidelines for applications, as well as key dates and timelines, are available online at:

Entry Into The Academic Program

For entry to the Gifted and Talented Secondary Selective Entrance Program, your child will need to sit the Academic Selective Entrance Test. Applicants are tested each year and the Guidelines for Application and Key Dates and Timelines are also available online.

Applications for Gifted and Talented Secondary Selective Entrance programs in 2025 are NOW OPEN.

Applications are open to students who will enter Year 7 in 2025.

Limited places may also be available for students who will enter Years 9 and 10 in 2025.

Applications close Sunday, 11 February 2024 and testing will occur in Term 1, 2024.
