Code of Conduct for Specialist Programs
This Code of Conduct for Specialist Programs identifies for students, parents/carers and staff the basic requirements relating to students who have been selected into the School Base programs. As these students are seen as ambassadors and leaders of the School, it is essential that these students maintain Good Standing and abide by the high standard of behaviour that is expected of them. Each student and their parents/carers is asked to sign this document to acknowledge these responsibilities. Students will be expected to uphold the behaviours outlined in the whole-school Code of Conduct. As a student at Governor Stirling SHS, I will; Respect the rights and property of others. Treat all members of the school community with respect, regardless of race, culture, gender or sexuality. Respect and value the school environment. Attend school, arrive on time and be prepared for class. Wear the school uniform at all times. Follow the classroom and school rules. Actively listen to and respond to directions from school staff. Consider the safety of others at all times. Complete all assessment tasks and study requirements to the best of my ability. Support the school community by participating responsibly in school events. To remain in the program, students must abide by this Code of Conduct. Repeated breaches of the Code of Conduct or a suspension will result in the student being placed on probation. Students will be supported to return to Good Standing with the implementation of a tracking sheet if appropriate. Students who do not show improvement while on probation may be suspended from the program for an agreed period of time. If student behaviour does not improve, this may ultimately result in official withdrawal from the program. Please go through this letter with your child, sign it before submitting to administration. Failure to sign this Code of Conduct will exempt your child from this process.

Student Declaration Signature. I (applicant/student) have read the above Code of Conduct and agree to abide by this Code if accepted into a School Based Specialised Program at Governor Stirling SHS.
